Elaborate holiday decorations and engaging stories offer a glimpse into the grand lifestyle from the Civil War to the White Tree of 1915. The Tallman family who resided in the restored, 26-room Italian villa-style mansion welcomed Abraham Lincoln in 1859. The house is enchanting during the holiday season - filled with period Christmas decorations. Holiday tours of the house illustrate family entertaining and celebrations with a Victorian-era Christmas tree adorned with over 500 stunning ornaments, a Civil War era tree with handmade ornaments and fruit and a white Christmas tree of the early 1900's. Chrismas displays in dining rooms, bed chambers and parlors reflect the lifestyle of an upper class family during these periods in American history.
